This test was rather surprising. I expected that every shot would reach my theoretical cap (444) due to the low AF on the
armor, however I was very wrong. Additionally, the cap damage for my bow was 448, 4 points higher than the predicted cap.
There was quite a significant variance in the hit although I was unable to sample a full 1000 hit log with this particular
test. This implies to me that there is perhaps another aspect to the formula used on uthgard or perhaps in the equation.
Perhaps Total AF is being calculated differently and granting greater weight to the denominator. Like every other test, I
used barbd footed flight broadhead arrows which, in theory, should have a damage multiplier of 1.25.

Calculating the Predicted Values:
Control test (no af)
Testing Player Crafted weapons were as follows
duskwood heavy recurve bow
16.5 dps (16.0 effective dps)
5.5 Speed
99% quality
Determining damage cap
Damage Cap = EDPS * SPD * 3 * (1 + (SPD – 2) * .03) * (1.1 + (0.005 x spec) )
16.0 x 5.5 x 3 x 1.105 x 1.22 = 444
Determining base damage range -
EDPS * (your WS/target AF) * (1-absorb) * (1-base resists) * (1-RA resists) * slow weap bonus * SPD * 2h weapon bonus * Arrow
Bonus
2h weapon bonus = 1.1 + (0.005 x spec)
SLow Weapon bonus = 1 + ( (spd - 2) x 0.03)
16.0 x (1271 / 257) x 1.105 x 5.5 x 1.22
16 x 4.945525292 x 7.41455
Variance adjustments due to 24 spec
586.7 x 0.61 = 357.887
586.7 x 1.25 = 733.375
Arrow Damage bonus multipliers
357.887 x 1.25 = 447.3 predicted min damage
733.375 x 1.25 = 916.7 predicted max damage
